The Washington State Microenterprise Association, in partnership with Washington State Commerce Department Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) and the Governor’s Office for Regulatory Innovation and Assistance (ORIA), is presenting a new webinar on Thursday, May 22, 2025 1-3PM: Worksite ICE Raids, Immigration Compliance and Succession Planning for Business Owners.
This webinar is intended to strengthen small businesses and their capacity to navigate deportation and other concerns impacting their employees, compliance with existing rules, and increasing capacity to operate under state and federal regulations.
This discussion will provide information about what employers need to know about worksite raids by immigration and their agents; employers rights and responsibilities during a raid; and succession planning for business owners. In response to feedback from our April Webinar, we have reformatted this presentation as an opportunity to engage with our speakers after each presentation to create an open dialogue, as well as Q&A.
Our speakers will be Steffani Powell, Immigration Attorney; Attorney Kripa Upadhyay; and Lorena Lowell, Small Business Program Manager, Washington State Department of Commerce.
Registration is now OPEN: https://bit.ly/3YBQfMz
Thank you to our presenting partners at the Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) and the Governor’s Office of Regulatory Innovation and Assistance (ORIA).
