The Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA) held the lively Zoom event: “How To Mobilize Grassroots Investors for Washington’s Post-COVID Reconstruction” featuring economist, attorney, author, entrepreneur, and a leading visionary on community economics, Michael Shuman and local investment network leaders throughout Washington.  

Representatives from Local Investment Networks, including: Local Investing Opportunities Network (LION - Port Townsend), Methow Investment Network (MIN -Twisp, WA), and Thurston Investment Network (ThINk -  Olympia, WA)], Association of Washington Cities, and WSU Extension presented during panel discussions to raise awareness about the impact of local investing for communities, especially in these times of the COVID crisis, as our state begins the next stage of its economic recovery. Investing locally supports local businesses, builds lasting community relationships, and grows local economies.
