Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA) Announces Grants to Organizations Serving The Smallest Businesses in WA State

The Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA) has awarded program funds to strengthen nonprofit Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs), Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) serving organizations, and others that provide businesses with technical assistance, training, and/or microloans to businesses with 5 or fewer employees in urban and rural parts of Washington State.

The program is supported by $450,000 through the Washington State Department of Commerce. It aligns with the goals of Commerce’s broader statewide Small Business Resiliency Network, a unique collaboration with more than 30 organizations providing direct, culturally relevant assistance and resources to business owners.
