Washington State spends about $5 billion a year on goods, services, and construction.  The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has drafted a statewide supplier diversity policy, and is seeking community feedback through the end of October.  This policy will impact how Washington State works with small and diverse businesses for goods and services.  Ideas and feedback from organizations working with small and diverse businesses is important and can help this policy be more meaningful and impactful in our communities.

During this discussion, WSMA was joined by Erin López Nielsen (she/her/hers), former Business Diversity Outreach Specialist Contracts & Procurement Division, Washington State Department of Enterprise Services for a critical discussion about the big picture, the policy, the impacts and how to make sure YOUR voice is heard.
